Fake Outrage: Michael Barkann criticizes Eagles fans for leaving game before the final whistle

The Eagles beat up on the Saints yesterday in South Philadelphia in a 40-29 victory to improve to 5-6 on the season and keep their Wild Card hopes alive. Jalen Hurts was amazing, and scored three times on the ground. Darius Slay added his third touchdown over the last four games. The vibes were at a season-high. Of course, there’s always something to be mad about, right?
NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Michael Barkann sent this tweet out right before the end of the game yesterday. “You call yourselves Eagles fans?” Barkann tweeted, with a video of fans leaving the stadium before the final snap of the game. He continued by saying “you don’t deserve tickets if you can’t stay until the end” with the hashtag “makes me sick.”
Jesus Christ Barkann. Besides the blatant fake outrage over a few Eagles fans heading out before the end of the game, who on earth gave you the right to tell Eagles fans what they deserve and don’t deserve? Makes you sick? See a doctor, Mike and be ready to share your medical documents (shout out Ben Simmons). Your pathetic attempt to puff your chest out and question Eagles fans loyalty fell flat on its face.
I’m not sure when they last time you attended an Eagles game, but getting out of the parking lot at the end of the game can take hours. I’ve literally sat in the F Lot until 8pm after a 1PM kickoff trying to navigate my way out of the lots and onto 95 to get back to Delco.
Also, telling Eagles fans, who paid ridiculous amounts of money to see the Eagles play what they deserve and don’t deserve is such a bullshit statement. That should go without saying. The majority of Eagles fans have been tailgating since 7am, spending their hard earned money on food, beverages, parking, and then tickets to the game.
Eagles fans can do whatever the hell they want. It’s really that simple. Also, why does Michael Barkann care? Shut up man.
All of that goes with the fact that Jalen Hurts scored with four minutes left in the game. The score was 33-22 before Hurts rushed for his third touchdown while breaking some ankles along the way. From there, the Eagles were up 40-22 and there was little-to-no chance of the Saints making a comeback.
Really bad take from Michael Barkann here. Sad to see it, honestly. As for the Eagles, they have a game against the New York Giants and then the New York Jets before a BYE week.
Outside of Barkann, all is well on a Victory Monday in Philadelphia.
