Eagles new wide receiver AJ Brown, a former prep standout and San Diego Padres draft selection, destroyed this ball and topped it off with a ridiculous bat-flip.
Brown was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 19th round of the 2016 MLB Draft out of Starkville HS in Starkville, MS, after batting an impressive .365 during his senior year. His selection undoubtedly would have been higher if not for team’s knowledge that Brown intended to attend Ole Miss and play football.
Brown joined Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray as just the second ever athlete to play in both the baseball and football Under Armour All-America games.
After the game, Brown made sure to let Micah Parsons to “Get ready for this shit” in reference to the Birds playing the Dallas Cowbos this season, which you love to see, even more so after the Eagles team beat Parsons team on a Hurts walk-off.
Anyways, it’s nice to see a bunch of Eagles players come out and support Smitty, a second-year wide receiver at a charity event. Pretty impressive from the young core that the Eagles are building around. Beating Micah Parsons was just icing on the cake.
