[Updated: Kill The Rally Bird] – Phillies Rally Bird appears on camera, sparking seven run rally against the Fish

The Philadelphia Phillies fell behind 4-0 early to the Miami Marlins tonight before momentum completely shifted in the second, third and fourth innings when they exploded for eight runs.
Rhys Hoskins currently has 5 RBI on the night and the Fightins’ are up 8-4 on the Fish in the top of the seventh inning.
In the top of the second inning, the broadcast crew panned out to the centerfield camera between the ivy and were greeted by what we are now calling a rally bird, bringing back old school Phillies logo vibes from the 1944-1945 season.
The dorks over at NBC Sports Philadelphia who desperately try to be “hip” by writing articles that are made for The Liberty Line and Crossing Broad named this bird “Mr. Feathers”. I won’t completely rip the G-rated corporate suit website but Mr. Feathers is a horrible name.
Just stick with Rally Bird and let’s hope he continues to pop up. I’d just be careful that Rhys Hoskins doesn’t mash a baseball and explode that poor bird into a million pieces like Randy Johnson did back in the day. Look it up.
Hopefully the Phillies will close this one out and we’ll secure another win.
Phillies Game Update
The rally bird stinks, someone mash it with a Bud Light can! DFA Jeurys Familia! Is there a chance the Rally Bird needs to return for another run? I don’t know. It’s definitely possible. I’m still going to blame NBC Sports Philadelphia for calling the Rally Bird Mr. Feathers like a bunch of dorks.
Phillies please, just win the fucking baseball game.
