The Dairy Queen Curse: The 4 MLB Players who marketed ice cream and sandwiches all have their fair share of issues this season

Everyone is very familiar with the Madden Curse, in which NFL players who appear on the cover of the video game end up getting hurt the following football season. Now, it looks like the MLB is also dealing with a similar curse, this time at the ends of Dairy Queen.
Bob Nightengale shared a tweet yesterday showing the four MLB players that partnered with Dairy Queen this season, all of which, have struggled this year, battled injuries, or in the case of Fernando Tatis Jr, got suspended for 80 games for PED use.
Bryce Harper Dairy Queen Ad
Phillies fans did receive a positive update on Bryce Harper today. Rob Thomson spoke with media and informed us that Harper would begin taking batting practice on the field tomorrow at Citizens Bank Park for the first time since breaking his thumb on June 25th.
In the ad above, Harper is with Tim Anderson of the Chicago White Sox. Anderson suffered a torn ligament in his left hand last week and underwent a successful surgery on Thursday. He is expected to return to the active roster in approximately six weeks
While the Dodgers continue to look like the World Series favorite in the National League, Cody Bellinger continues to struggle this season, averaging just .210 from the plate with a .673 OPS.Â
Then of course, you have Fernando Tatis Jr who was just suspended for 80 games due to PED use, which will likely be a huge blow for the San Diego Padres, who are currently in the third and final NL Wild Card spot just a game ahead of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Moral of the Story: Do yourself a favor and stick to Rita’s Water Ice. Dairy Queen clearly can’t be trusted.
