Phillies in 4 confirmed? Philadelphia Police release statement requesting businesses and residents clear the streets on Saturday, October 22nd

The Philadelphia Phillies haven’t even played one game of the NLCS against the San Diego Padres and we’re getting all types of updates (good and bad) ahead of tonight’s Game 1.
Investigative journalist, podcast host, and known “Meat Man” Eric Fink of Northeast Philadelphia, posted a letter from the Philadelphia Police Department today on Twitter showing the request from the Philly PD to clear the streets in the areas of Frankford and Cottman Avenue on Saturday.
Philadelphia Police Notice About Saturday
Look, the police can crackdown on any type of celebration all they want, but if we know anything about the city of Philadelphia, once there’s a reason to celebrate our sports teams, residents become an unstoppable force. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Meat Man himself is already greasing up the light poles in the Northeast in anticipation of the Phillies returning to the World Series for the first time since 2009.
I know it may seem like the city is getting ahead of themselves but hey, at least we aren’t acting like San Diego Padres fans today. You had not one, but TWO videos of those dorks making rap videos, followed by a group of morons painting a mural featuring what appeared to be a fast food chicken stomping on our beloved Phillie Phanatic.
At the end of the day, we should be getting ahead of ourselves. I bought NLDS tickets after Game 1 of the Wild Card and then bought NLCS tickets before the Fightins even returned to Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies are cruising through the playoffs and I don’t believe in jinxes. Period.
All the Phillies need to do is split in San Diego and then they come home for three games this weekend. That sounds even better knowing that Zack Wheeler and Aaron Nola are both slated to start against the Padres tonight and tomorrow.
