Lane Johnson joins Jayme Hoskins in buying free beer for Phillies fans at Citizens Bank Park

Last night, Jayme Hoskins continued her postseason tradition in buying Phillies fans beer at Citizens Bank Park following the Phillies 7-0 dismantling of the Houston Astros in Game 3 of the World Series.
We wrote about that earlier this morning, which you can read here. In summary, Jayme bought 50 beers for Section 104 last night, and has done it after every Phillies win in the playoffs this season. As Conway put it this morning, she’s quickly turned it into a beautiful tradition; like Santa Claus but with a Phils jacket and Yuengling tallboys. Now, Lane Johnson is on board and offering 65 Bud Lights for free, presumably at Citizens Bank Park tonight for Game 4 of the World Series.
Lane Johnson – 65 Bud Lights for Phillies World Series
Of course, for those of you who weren’t too drunk to remember, Lane Johnson partnered with Bud Light during the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl run to give everyone in the city a free Bud Light at the parade.

Honestly, it’s just what the crowd at Citizens Bank Park and the city of Philadelphia need. More beer. Of course. It’s so simple and almost impossible to cash on on the promotion given the amount of people inside The Bank for these playoff games but the sentiment is there and I absolutely love it.
Outside of the blatantly obvious magical run that the Philadelphia Phillies are on this postseason, the way that Philly sports, the city, and their players come together when any of the five major sports team go on a championship run is second-to-none.
I have no idea if other sports towns are like this or not and I’m not even going to check. Let’s just go with no because what we do know, is that Philadelphia is the greatest sports city in the world and the current run of success will go down in history as one of the greatest sports moments in the history of Philly.
RING IT.
