Home Cooking: The Philadelphia Phillies are playing incredible baseball at Citizens Bank Park during the postseason

The Philadelphia Phillies now have a 2-1 lead in the World Series over the Houston Astros thanks to a strong outing from Ranger Suarez and the bullpen last night at Citizens Bank Park. A record-tying FIVE home runs from Bryce Harper, Alec Bohm, Brandon Marsh, Kyle Schwarber, and Rhys Hoskins propelled the Fightins to a 7-0 win over the Astros and we’re back at it again tonight with Aaron Nola on the mound.

A lot has been said about Citizens Bank Park in the media during this incredible postseason run and numbers simply do not lie. It’s the hardest place to play in Major League Baseball. As you can see in the picture above, the Phillies LOVE home cooking at The Bank.
The Fightins at The Bank
- Games: 6
- Record: 6-0
- Runs/Gm: 7.0
- Opp Run/Gm: 2.5
- Team Batting Average: .284
- Home Runs: 17
The Phillies split the first two games of the World Series in Houston, just like they did in the NLDS against the Atlanta Braves and the NLCS against the San Diego Padres. By doing so, they gave themselves home field advantage in all three series, with the next two games being played at Citizens Bank Park.
The NLDS and NLCS both ended in Philadelphia because of it. All things considered, the Phillies are sending Aaron Nola to the mound tonight and Zack Wheeler to the mound tomorrow night and the Fightins have an amazing chance to be crowned World Champions of Baseball on their home field.
RING IT.
