Linval Joseph: “I knew we had to drop our nuts.”

One of the Eagles newest defensive line additions Linval Joseph had a few words to share about Jalen Hurts and the 17-16 come back victory in Indianapolis today.
After the game, Joseph told reporters “I knew we had to drop our nuts…it was that moment, do or die. Who wants it more?”
He then added “I’ve been dreaming about this.”
Linval Joseph: Had to drop our nuts.
Well, that’s certainly one way to describe the victory today. We can leave the questionable nuts dropping reference and the obvious question of what he was dreaming about in reference to the “I’ve been dreaming about this” line alone for now.
Point being, Joseph is absolutely correct.
On the last drive when the Eagles needed him the most, Hurts hung his nuts all over the Colts defense converting multiple third downs and even a fourth down conversation to keep Philly alive.
It was capped off by a 3rd down run for a touchdown which ultimately gave the Eagles the lead with one minute and 20 seconds left on the clock.

Hurts then danced in the face of the Colts dumb green horse while he did the worst Phillie Phanatic belly thrust impression the world has ever seen.

As for the Eagles defensive line, they allowed just 99 rushing yards (3.8 avg) and really, gave up only one explosive play to Jonathan Taylor on the first drive of the game for 28-yards.
And what do you know, our two newest guys on defense Ndamukong Suh and Linval Joseph, sacked Matt Ryan.
Not the prettiest of games but hey, when you come back from 10 points down heading into the fourth quarter on the road, that is a SOLID win for any team in the NFL.
Cheers.
