Arryn Siposs got into a heated exchange with Giants fans after being carted off the field with an ankle injury on Sunday

Philadelphia Eagles punter Arryn Siposs got injured on a botched punt during Sunday’s 48-22 win against the New York Giants.
Arryn Siposs Injured on Blocked Punt Run
After his punt got blocked in the second quarter, Siposs decided to pick up the ball in an attempt to get the first down. In doing so, he tweaked his ankle and is now going to be out indefinitely. I’m not exactly sure if “crushed” was the right term from Pelissero in the tweet above, but Siposs definitely did get hit a few times at the end of the play.
It was one hell of a play from Siposs to pick the ball up while running full speed and take it down the sidelines to the first down marker. The third hit on the play should have definitely drawn a flag but apparently that didn’t happen. Talk about a bitch move from the Giants’ defense. It’s the punter for crying out loud. I know you’re down 21-0 but give the guy a break. The defender wasn’t even the first or second guy to make contact.
Anyways, while getting carted off the field, Siposs had some choice words for Giants fans in the crowd, who apparently had nothing nice to say about him exiting the game early.
Arryn Siposs Yelling at Giants Fans
We got news yesterday that three-time Pro Bowl punter Brett Kern would be visiting with the Eagles.
It was announced later in the evening that the Eagles would in fact, be signing Brett Kern to replace Siposs.
Kern, 36, has played 15 seasons in the NFL with two separate franchises, Denver and Tennessee. From 2017-’19, Kern made three consecutive Pro Bowls and earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2019. Although he hasn’t played at all in 2022, he was in the NFL just last season, where he averaged 44.8 yards per punt with the Titans.
Could you imagine if this happened in Philly and Eagles fans were booing an opposing player that was getting carted off the field?
Yikes.
The Eagles are back in action on Sunday in Chicago against the Bears.
