Injury Update: Lane Johnson, Avonte Maddox, and Jordan Davis all exit early against the Cowboys

The Philadelphia Eagles lost a very winnable game in Dallas yesterday, 34-40, and lost a few key players to injury.
Lane Johnson suffered a groin and abdomen injury and according to reports, will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the setback.

Philadelphia will likely look at Jack Driscoll to replace Johnson or shift Jordan Mailata to right tackle and play Andre Dillard at left tackle. They’ll have big shoes to fill, as Johnson hasn’t given up a sack since Week 11 of the 2020 season.
Along with Johnson, Avonte Maddox and Jordan Davis both left the game early with injuries.

Note: The Eagles are already without starting safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who has been out with a lacerated kidney and won’t be eligible to return until next next week against the New Orleans Saints on New Years Day. Also, keep an eye on former Eagle Cre’Von LeBlanc as a potential option to sign if needed.
Jordan Davis collided with Josh Sweat in the third quarter and was visibly wobbly as he tried to get up. Davis exited the game with a concussion and did not return.
Again, tough loss in Dallas in a very winnable game. The Eagles turned the ball over four times, lost Johnson, Maddox, and Davis, while the game still came down to the final play. Even though it would have been nice to secure the win against the Cowboys to clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC and a first-round bye, the Eagles will have two more shots, both at home, against the Saints and Giants.
