WATCH: Fan jumps route, intercepts jersey that Kyrie Irving was clearly throwing to someone else

Kyrie Irving was throwing a game worn jersey into the stands to a lucky fan, only to have it intercepted by another fan.
Kyrie Irving Jersey Toss Intercepted
Look, I know it might seem like a dick move but honestly I respect it. Kyrie only had his eyes on one receiver and the guy who made the interception read it perfectly. Irving, who is averaging a full assist less this season (4.7) than his career average of 5.7, needs to disguise his passes better.
I think it’s completely fair game to snipe anything like a jersey or ball toss in the stands as long as it wasn’t meant for a kid. It should go without saying that children are completely off limits when it comes to interfering interactions between athletes and fans. Anything else is on the table.Â

What a bizarre picture. It looks like Kyrie is pointing at the guy who intercepted the jersey to give it back to the intended target. That’s pretty clear. How about the white dude down in front? He’s just standing there like a statue. Weird.Â
The video cuts off but it looks like the guy who caught the jersey did end up turning around to return the jersey to the guy who was supposed to catch it. He’s a way better man than I would have been. If I jumped a route like that and had a Kyrie jersey in my hand, I would have immediately booked towards the closest exit, almost like an NFL cornerback taking an interception to the house and running right into the tunnel.
And that’s not because I wanted the Kyrie jersey. I would have taken it outside and either lit it on fire or pawned it off to some idiot who actually roots for the Brooklyn Nets.
