GM of The Village Tavern in Scottsdale says Philly fans are the most obnoxious, rude fans in the country, insults blue collar workers in ridiculous email to staff members

Philadelphia Eagles fans will make the pilgrimage to Arizona for Super Bowl LVII as the Birds are set to face the Kansas City Chiefs and already, restaurant owners are warning their staff to prepare themselves for what’s to come.
Here’s an email from Bob Mayo, who according to Google, is the general manager of The Village Tavern in Scottsdale, warning his staff about Philadelphia sports fans heading to Arizona for the Super Bowl.
Shoutout to Kyle Pagan at Crossing Broad for stumbling across this gem. As always, The Liberty Line and Crossing Broad stand against this type of behavior from people like Bob Mayo, so I figured I would also chime in on the ridiculous email below.
Bob Mayo, GM of The Village Tavern – Scottsdale

What type of psychopath immediately posts an “announcement” and begins it with “Ladies & Gentlemen” like they are about to make a declaration that the United States is entering World War III?
Eagles fans attending the Super Bowl should be the least of your worries. Why is this guy acting like we’re a pack of wolves invading Arizona to do nothing but rape and pillage the homes of residents while entering restaurants and eat raw meat with our bare hands while trashing whatever establishment we lay eyes on?
“If any of you are from Philly, please don’t take this the wrong way, but…”
Good rule of thumb is that if anyone starts out a sentence like that, they are probably about to say something extremely offensive. Bob was no different, continuing his outlandish email by saying that Philly fans are some of the most obnoxious, rude fans in the country, with a bunch of dorky smiley faces.
I’m also not even sure why he added “Blue collar, hard working people.”
Is that a slight on those types of people? And this is what you said in an email to your restaurant workers, who are also blue collar, hard working people?
Get a grip, Bob.
Honestly, it’s probably best if Philadelphia fans do go to The Village Tavern in Scottsdale and pay Bob and his staff a visit. Everyone thinks that our fanbase is the worse until you actually meet us, and then you realize that we are literally just like every other fanbase out there and the national media and clipped videos on the internet are all just smoke and mirrors.
Phoenix will host the Super Bowl and the PGA’s Waste Management Open on the same weekend. They are also home to Arizona State University, which has long been considered one of the biggest party schools in the nation. I highly doubt that Bob and his staff will be able to tell the difference between ASU students, Waste Management attendees, and Super Bowl fans. Everyone is going to be completely plastered and there’s always a few bag eggs in every fanbase.
