The Road Ahead: Sixers will be put to the test with a brutal March schedule

The Sixers opened up the final stretch of the NBA season last night with a thrilling comeback win against the Memphis Grizzlies in South Philadelphia.
Last night’s win against the Grizzles was huge. The city of Philadelphia, coming off a Phillies’ World Series and an Eagles’ Super Bowl, hasn’t really bought in quite yet to the thought of an NBA Finals run with the Sixers.
Whether you want to blame that on previous playoff failures from the Sixers, the fact that this fan base does not like Doc Rivers, or health concerns that plague this team every Spring, is totally up to you. I won’t fault you for any of the issues listed above.

Still, the Sixers are now 39-19 and sit in third place in the Eastern Conference standings just three games behind the first place Boston Celtics, a team that they will face at home tomorrow.
From there, the Sixers will host the Miami Heat at home before entering a brutal March schedule that will almost certainly tell you what type of team they will be come playoff time.
To put it as simple as possible, the path ahead does not get any easier. The Sixers will enter a tough road schedule for basically the entire month of March.

Woof. March is going to be a bloodbath. I guess that’s what happens when you play third fiddle in the Comcast-owned Wells Fargo Center, which prioritizes the Philadelphia Flyers and concert events over 76ers basketball. If you’re looking for a reason why they need to get out of that arena and into their own, the March 2023 basketball schedule should be poster board material.
Buckle up. Philadelphia 76ers’ basketball is back and by April, we’ll know exactly what team we have in the playoffs.
