Phillies announce who will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch on Thursday for their home opener against the Cincinnati Reds

The Philadelphia Phillies will finally return home to Citizens Bank Park to face the Cincinnati Reds in their 2023 home opener on Thursday.
According to the team, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Third grader Vincent Ardito, a cardiac care patient from Nemours Children’s Health, will also throw out one of the ceremonial first pitches. (via CBS News)
The game is set to start at 3:05 PM and it definitely will be a loud atmosphere for Nick and young Vincent during the pregame ceremonies.
The start of the 2023 season for the Philadelphia Phillies hasn’t been ideal after getting swept by the Texas Rangers on the road in their first series.
Last night, they lost to the New York Yankees 8-1 but finally have some life tonight, with Kyle Schwarber and Brandon Marsh both hitting home runs to give the Fightins a 2-0 lead in the top of the fifth inning.
