Rhys Hoskins Injury Update

Injury Update: Rhys Hoskins remaining positive, optimistic he could return in October for a Phillies postseason run

The Philadelphia Phillies lost the series finale today against the Cincinnati Reds 6-4 failing to complete the sweep during their opening series at Citizens Bank Park for the 2023 season.

The weekend was filled with festivities, starting with Rhys Hoskins and Bryce Harper raising the 2022 National League Pennant and ending today with the presentation of the NL Championship Ring Ceremony.

Hoskins was in attendance for the majority of the weekend and spoke with Greg Murphy during the Phillies’ pregame show about his recovery progress.

Hoskins stated that he wants to spend time around the team during recovery and that his goal is to give himself a chance to be ready to play if the Phillies make the postseason.

Rhys Hoskins on Recovery

“My goal is to give myself a chance to be ready if the team is still playing in October. There’s a lot of confidence in that room that we will be. I’ve got to do my part.”

Rhys Hoskins back in Red October after missing all season and a signature “Bat Slam” sounds like a fever dream but hey, if he’s optimistic on returning for the postseason then I’m all about it.
