Eagles Rumors: AJ Brown hints toward potential Derrick Henry trade
Another day, another Eagles trade rumor.
Early Saturday morning, a tweet surfaced from former NFL player, and current “Ninja Warrior” host, Akbar Gbajabiamila stating Philadelphia was finalizing a deal for Titans RB Derrick Henry.

While the legitimacy of the rumor is questionable at best, Gbajabiamila is a former NFL reporter who’s also represented by Creative Artists Agency (the same agency as Henry), so there’s a chance he didn’t pull this out of thin air.
Current Eagles WR AJ Brown took to Twitter later on and hinted at the potential acquisition of his former teammate.

Henry, 29, was the NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2020 when he rushed for over 2,000 yards and 17 TDs. Injuries limited Henry to just eight games the following year, but he bounced back with one of his most productive campaigns to date, racking up 1,538 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns last season.
It isn’t clear what the Eagles would concede in a trade for Henry’s services, but adding the All-Pro to an offense consisting of Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown, and DeVonta Smith would solidify Philadelphia as title favorites. Henry is set to enter the final year of his contract and is owed $10.5M in 2023.
