Conflicting Rumors & Leaks
Earlier in the week, Donna Kelce, mother of Travis and Jason Kelce posted on Facebook that the Super Bowl rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs will take place in Week 2.
This morning however, there’s a rumor making its rounds on Twitter this morning that Philadelphia Eagles will actually be hosting the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2 on Thursday Night Football.
Process of Elimination for Eagles Schedule
Confirmed: The Kansas City Chiefs will open up the 2023 NFL season on Thursday Night Football against the Detroit Lions.
Confirmed: Aaron Rodgers will make his New York Jets debut against the Josh Allen and Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.
Confirmed: The Dallas Cowboys will open up the season in New York against the Giants on Sunday Night Football.
Note: The New England Patriots will host the Miami Dolphins in Week 2.
Note: The Cincinnati Bengals will host the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3.
With the Giants, Cowboys, Bills, Jets, 49ers, and Chiefs already scheduled with Week 1 opponents along with a confirmed date against the 49ers, that leaves five teams on the Eagles schedule as potential matchups.
We’ll leave the Minnesota Vikings as the Week 2 matchup even though at this time, it’s still a rumor.
