Not Smart: Phillies are yet again allowing the scumbag leader of the New York Mets fan group ‘The 7 Line Army’ throw out the first pitch at Citizens Bank Park in June

For whatever reason, the Philadelphia Phillies organization are yet again, allowing the scumbag “leader” of the New York Mets fan group “The 7 Line” throw out the first pitch at Citizens Bank Park this season.
The 7 Line ‘Leader’ will throw at first pitch for Mets-Phillies on June 24th
The Phillies ARE LETTING US throw out the ceremonial first pitch again, but they’re cracking down on the attire this year. No Mets stuff, but the perk remains. Don’t have to wear Phillies gear, just not Mets or T7LA.
I mean honestly, how did this happen again?
The 7 Line Army, a New York Mets fan club is throwing out the first pitch at Citizens Bank Park AGAIN?
This happened last year and no one was happy about it, so they are running it back again?
John Middleton, my guy, what’s going on here?
I don’t care how much money this group spends and how many tickets they buy at Citizens Bank Park. After last year’s World Series run, attendance has been way up at The Bank this season.
Do we really need Mets fans getting involved in pregame ceremonies?
The fact that we allow them to buy an entire section during the game seems like enough.
Trust me. The first pitch, while a baseball tradition, isn’t really a big deal these days. I’m typically outside of CBP drinking in the lots or grabbing a few beers inside before heading to my seat for the game and miss the ceremony regardless.
The reason why I do care is because the Mets fans actually celebrate how “pathetic” it is that the Phillies allow them to partake in throwing out the first pitch. They mock the Phillies organization on social media while New York radio stations rip all of us for allowing this to happen. It’s embarrassing.
Last season, they let this dork do it in late-August, in the middle of a playoff push.
This is the guy. At Citizens Bank Park. A New York Mets fan. Throwing out the first pitch.
Again, it really doesn’t matter regardless because we actually made the playoffs while the Mets were quickly bounced by the San Diego Padres while the Phillies cruised through the National League to win the pennant.
Still, I don’t like the Mets getting the last laugh at our expense and if the Phillies were smart, they would put an end to it this season before it actually happens.
