Benches clear in Arizona with multiple players ejected after D-Backs manager Torey Lovullo thought Matt Strahm hit Corbin Carroll intentionally

Benches cleared in the third inning of tonight’s game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Arizona Diamondbacks.
D-Backs manager was ejected from the game after coming out to argue that Matt Strahm intentionally hit Corbin Carroll, who had already tagged Strahm for two hits in his first two plate appearances.
Torey Lovullo Ejected After Benches Clear in Arizona
Yeah. Sure dude. Strahm was trying to hit Carroll with a four run lead and a man on in the bottom of the third inning. You nailed it Torey Lovullo, way to stick up for your guys.
This was literally everyone’s face as Torey Lovullo was arguing with the umpire.Â

I mean seriously, give me a break.
No chance in hell Strahm was trying to put another man on and bring the game tying run to the plate.
The entire thing was ridiculous. Lovello then tried to take on the entire Phillies team.
He went right at JT Realmuto, who already has a home run, triple, and single in tonight’s game was first in line (cry for help answered) and he didn’t move a muscle. Kyle Schwarber then got in the middle of the crowd as benches and bullpens cleared.
Diamondbacks infielder Josh Rojas was also tossed and he didn’t even start the game.
For anyone watching the game, it was pretty clear that Strahm throwing inside wasn’t intentional. You don’t have to attempt to be some hard ass by “protecting your players”. If anything, I would be embarrassed to be on the Snakes while your manager is making fool of himself at home plate.
The Phillies and D-Backs are tied 5-5 and we’re heading into the bottom of the sixth inning. A win on a bullpen night would be a massive way to start a seven game road trip. Get it done, Phillies.
Not tonight.
That’s what managers do, stand up for their players , but what would you know about that , you’re fake news.
