Carson Wentz, murders an innocent black bear in Alaska, met with backlash after posting on Instagram

Carson Wentz is facing some significant backlash today after posting pictures of a hunting trip he was on in Alaska where he crossed an item off his “bucket list” by killing a black bear.
Wentz shared several images of the hunting trip on instagram, showing him sitting with a massive black bear and his crossbow, which was used to take down the animal.
Carson Wentz caption on the Instagram Post
“Wentz captioned the post, “Bucket list” with a checkmark emoji, followed by, “Got the opportunity to spot and stalk black bear in one of our new favorite places on earth—Alaska! Incredible trip and an incredible animal! 🙌🏻.”
Carson Wentz Black Bear Killing
Yeah so obviously, no one is happy, which I completely understand. I mean seriously, look at that black bear. What an incredible animal. It’s heartbreaking to see that beast lifeless at the hands of a hunter who just wanted to check an item off his bucket list.
To be clear, I have no problem with hunting. When Carson was committing mass murder on ducks, I didn’t really like it personally, but I understood the sport behind it. Still, wasn’t really my cup of tea.

I do however, take issue with trophy hunting and the motives behind it.
Pour one out for the black bear. He deserved better.
It’s black bear hunting season in Alaska. These bears are used for food not for sport hunting, so as long as Carson didn’t waste the meat, this is the norm in Alaska.
This is our way of life here. Please educate yourselves and understand where all your food sources come from and stop judging people due to your lack of understanding.
The article itself was written in satirical nature but I did state I have zero problem with hunting but not a fan of trophy hunting. I would hope the kill was used for food and everything else available within the bear. Not judging at all and completely understand.
How is this satirical? Reads like a dumb uniformed opinion. Calling hunting, “committing mass murder” doesn’t sound like you align with it. You sound like a person who doesn’t have to hunt for their food. Here in Alaska, hunting is a culture and it is so because we still battle for the land with wild animals. Bears are beasts and will and do maul and kill people all the time. You probably don’t know what it’s Like to match up with a 7 ft black bear from 50 yards and if you did you would understand why hunting is important from a conservation and safety standpoint.
I do understand. I just don’t agree with trophy hunting. The satirical part is calling hunting committing mass murder lol. I’m on your side dude.
Drew. Mass Murder. Come on…. We eat Black Bear up here in Alaska. You get your meat from a grocery store. Guess how it got there. There’s your mass murder that someone else does for you.
😂 I know that! Was just giving Carson Wentz shit. It’s what we do in Philly.
Sometimes a trophy is in line with the hunters sights. It happens in Alaska! My wall is full of trophy but every time I set out to hunt I don’t think of a wall hanger. I think of the freezer.
Okay that’s fair. I appreciate the insight. Here in Philadelphia, we really just like to give Wentz a hard time haha. Cheers!
There is a key component to satire that you seem to be lacking – it’s usually funny. No I think you wrote a hit piece thinking you’d get lots of support since Wentz is a somewhat polarizing person and hunting is a polarizing topic. However now that you realize the stupidity of your points and the complete lack of outrage for whst is essentially another fay in Alaska, you are now trying to say it was satire. As far as your writing in general, I hear Walmart is hiring cashiers…
And yet you’re here, in the comment section, leaving your opinion on an article that has went viral on a website that I own and operate. So really, Ben Brown, who’s the stupid one in this situation? This wasn’t a hit piece against anyone. Read any article on the website, we don’t pretend to be experts. Just light heartedly writing opinion posts and talking some shit about Carson Wentz, who left Philadelphia in disgrace. Enjoy your weekend bud.
Mass murder. Where is the lash out against the jab that has and still is killing thousands! That’s mass murder! One of the best pieces of meat I ever had was the Backstrap of a black bear. Giving this guy a hard time while doing the whole of Alaska a huge injustice isn’t satirical. It’s causing a divide in an already divided nation with nothing but deception.
But hey…get your reviews and response numbers up.
That’s not a crossbow. It’s a compound bow.
Nah, not satire, satire is humorous. Playing the “we’re from Philly, thats what we do” card is weak and you know it. You don’t know the difference between a compound bow and a cross bow, you’re saying murder instead of hunting to virtue signal to other beta sports guys to get follows and clicks. It’s okay to be an indoor sports guy, just stay in your lane. Or actually educate yourself on hunting, get outdoors, experience it and then write something with real humor and wit which could be called satire. This piece is just weak, lazy and not funny, do better.
Just because you didn’t find it funny doesn’t mean people who actually watch sports and know Wentz history between himself and Philly think the same way. It’s satire. Also, no one gives a fuck about the difference between two bows. That is irrelevant to the article. This comment is weak, lazy, and reeks of you just trying to tell someone, anyone who will read it, that you’re a big tough hunter. I personally don’t care who hunts and who doesn’t hunt. Free country. Also, you’re making assumptions about me and the outdoors that aren’t true. I walked my ass from Springer Mountain Georgia the whole way to Maine on the App Trail and could survive in the woods much longer than you, beta hunter. Be better.
This guy is NOT an Alaskan. Don’t be giving him that benefit. I am an Alaskan, life-long. This guy was trophy hunting, whether or not he is going to utilize all of the bear, we simply don’t know. I believe hunting for feeding one’s family is A-okay with me. Simply trophy hunting for the joy of the kill and a pelt or rack is not my cup of tea. Take what you need from nature, but don’t do it carelessly or when not in need of food or self-protection.
Thank you! This is the point I was trying to make. You just worded it so much better. Appreciate the comment!!!
You are supposed to protect wildlife. Your mother must be ashamed of you. The slaughtered bear’s Mother will meet you in the afterlife. You are a disgrace to our world.
Hunters get crap from tree huggers and cry babies all day long. If you don’t like it, don’t hunt. Otherwise shut up.
What is funny is that the ‘backlash’ from “real Alaskans” was negligible when the video of a father and son went into a bears den and killed the mother of two cubs. As an ‘Alaskan’, I am ashamed of my fellow hunters up here…and their need for bigger racks and bigger heads. Call it what you will, but small men hunt the biggest game. That is all there is to it. Nobody needs a Moose, a Caribou, a Bear (either color) and salmon to fill the freezer. That is why all of my musher friends get TONS (literally TONS) of salmon, moose, caribou and the likes from hunters who freeze their kills and just can’t eat it all..in a couple years.
