Tom Brady and ex-wife Gisele Bundchen lost a combined $48 MILLION in FTX investment

Tom Brady and ex-wife Gisele Bundchen were among a wide range of celebrities who invested in the now-bankrupt crypto-exchange FTX.
Brady, who was largely considered FTX’s top ambassador, joined a long list of celebrities promoting the now disgraced company.
- Stephen Curry
- Udonis Haslem
- David Ortiz
- Trevor Lawrence
- Shohei Ohtani
- Larry David
- Shaquille O’Neal
- Tom Brady
- Gisele Bundchen
Look, I doubt the majority of people listed above had any idea what the hell was going on with FTX. They saw a big-money sponsorship opportunity and jumped on it.
The amount of money that Brady and Gisele lost because of the company’s collapse however, is massive.
Tom Brady and ex-wife Gisele Bundchen lost $48 million in FTX
In a recent article from the New York Times, Brady and Bundchen lost nearly $48 million when FTX collapsed late last year. Brady himself lost nearly $30 million that he invested while Gisele reportedly put in $18 million over her own money.
To put that into perspective: Brady has an estimated net worth of around $300 million, and that figure is probably very conservative. Bundchen is said to be worth $400 million.
FTX as a company, was said to have lost roughly $8 BILLION by misusing funds from actual customers.
Scumbags, really.
So while we’re at it, where exactly is the FTX creep Sam Bankman-Fried now?
Well, after the FTX empire completely crumbled following the November 11, 2022 leak of the Alameda Research balance sheet went public, FTX declared bankruptcy.
At the time, Bankman-Fried was doing zoom interviews from the Bahamas while he went on an “apology tour” barely taking any blame or showing any remorse for funneling billions of dollars out of his company.
On December 12th, Bankman-Fried was arrested by police in the Bahamas and within weeks, was handed over to the United States. He ultimately pleaded “not guilty” while one-time allies and top executives of FTX pleaded guilty and have cooperated with federal investigators.
Bankman-Fried posted bail and moved back into his parents house at Stanford University. He is now awaiting trial, which is currently scheduled for October 2023.
Must be nice right? You buddy up with a bunch of mega-rich, sleazy politicians and donate a shit ton of money to a political party and then you can just go home to mommy and daddy and await trial as you defrauded BILLIONS OF DOLLARS from customers in the Bahamas without an ounce of remorse.
