WATCH: Jeopardy contestant gives hilariously bad answer to a layup question about the Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles popped up as a question on a recent episode of Jeopardy, under a sports category titled “Eagles”.
Philadelphia Eagles on Jeopardy
“On December 15, 1968 the Philadelphia Eagles were 2-11 as fans booed & hurled snowballs at a teen picked from the stands to play this jolly old soul.”
Honestly, what in the world is Jeopardy doing running with an Eagles category in relation to sports teams and the question they choose for the Philadelphia Eagles is about throwing snowballs at Santa Claus?
I will give them credit for finally providing context behind the incident. Eagles’ fans were just pissed off because their football team sucked and were throwing snowballs at a drunk teenager dressed like Santa.
For the life of me, I still can’t figure out why that is such a big deal in the first place.
Anyways, I still don’t really like the question from Jeopardy. I would suggest finding a new slant or at the very least, getting someone who is not a complete nerd to figure out better questions for the sports categories. Even with a layup question, the guy who buzzed in to answer still didn’t even manage to answer correctly.
What Is…Frosty the Snowman (lol)
I mean seriously, how in the world can you answer with “What is Frosty the Snowman”?
Sorry buddy, but your punishment is to now attend a tailgate in the F2 Lot for a night game at Lincoln Financial Field this season. You’ll learn a hell of a lot more drinking in a parking lot for 12+ hours than you did studying to be on Jeopardy and the experience itself is priceless, trust me.
Simply unacceptable, regardless if you’re a sports fan or know anything about the Philadelphia Eagles.
Shoutout Jeopardy. Never forget the Joel “Do A 180” Embiid shirts we made after the last contestant had no idea what Embiid’s nickname was.
There is no such word as anyways. The word is anyway. Learn our lovely English language.
