Bad Look: Chicago Cubs fan robs girl of baseball in the outfield, gives it to his son instead

An unfortunate event unfolded in the stands of a Chicago Cubs game as a baseball intended to be thrown to a girl along the outfield fence was robbed by a father a few seats down and then given to his son sitting next to him.
Chicago Cubs Fan Robs Girl of Baseball, Gives to His Son Instead…?
The throw was absolutely horrible. This is a Major League Baseball player and couldn’t even get an accurate toss to the girl, who was clearly the intended target.
So right from the jump, things aren’t going well and really from there, things only get worse with this kid’s dad then catching the baseball.
How old is the kid?
Well he literally has facial hair so he’s definitely old enough to catch his own baseball, I’ll tell you that much.
On top of that, he has this pretty girl right next to him and doesn’t appear to even think that it would be a great move to catch the baseball and hand it over to this girl who again, was the intended target in the first place.
That simply can’t happen. I’m even comfortable in saying that’s just bad parenting. The dad himself should have tossed the ball to the girl and then had a little “life talk” with his son about how to look like a total bad ass in front of girls.
Maybe then this kid would have a fighting chance to get laid at some point in his life because having your dad catch a baseball for you and the accepting it as some kind of gift when you’re clearly over the age of someone who should be excited about catching a baseball (shoutout Zack Hample) while this girl is standing there looking at you in disappointment is clearly the worst decision ever.
Plus, these are Chicago Cubs fans. Earlier this season, there was that couple that fell in love after the guy passed his phone up the aisle to get the girls number. They went crazy viral (my article did too, nbd) and then posted on social media that they actually went out on a date shortly after.
I wrote a follow up that and it also went viral. We’re talking over a half million views on each article here people. Yes, most of them were making fun of me for being “a lonely, dark, soul” based on my disgust with the couple finding love but that’s beyond the point.
POINT BEING: If a Philadelphia-based sports website wrote about a Chicago Cubs love story then you can’t tell me that actual Cubs fans didn’t see my articles or literally anyone else’s articles about the entire thing. This dad and son blew the perfect opportunity to be the next Chicago Cubs fans that went mega-viral by doing something nice for this girl and they completely blew it.
You hate to see guys go down like this on the field of battle but really they have no one to blame except themselves.
I will say to the lovely girl who wanted to catch a baseball, if you throw on a Phillies jersey and come down to Citizens Bank Park, our fans would treat you like a queen. You deserve better than to be a Cubs fan wearing an Anthony Rizzo jersey. We’ll get you a fresh Bryce Harper jersey have him sign a baseball for you. Get in touch and let’s make it happen.
The Phillies are finally back in action tomorrow night as they open up a 4-game series against the San Diego Padres in South Philly. From there, I can stop writing about the dumbest shit possible to keep the traffic up on The Liberty Line and we can finally get back to business.
