WATCH: Bryce Harper clowns Trea Turner after the now 30-year old only made it from first to third base on a double to right field

Trea Turner is one of the fastest players in Major League Baseball but yesterday, Bryce Harper expected a bit more out of the Phillies shortstop.
Harper flashed up a “3” and a “0” at Turner, who made it from first to third after Bryce hit a one-out double to the right field corner in the sixth inning of yesterday’s win against the Padres.
Bryce Harper and Trea Turner on the Base Paths
Clearly, Harper thought one of the fastest guys in the MLB could have made it home, but Turner pulled up at third and Bryce let him know that he should have gotten the whole way home but after turning 30 years old on June 30th, he might not have that type of speed moving forward.
Listen, I’m not a professional baseball player by any means but if you’re over 30, it’s no secret that you’re not the same person you were in your 20’s.
Hangovers are worse, all the sudden your back and knees and random parts of your body starts hurting for no reason whatsoever, and you’re officially on the decline. It happens to the best of us.
Is that the case for Turner? Obviously not, but it’s always good to see the Phillies playing “loose” and giving each other shit. That’s just the sign of a good baseball team that’s playing together.
On Saturday, Bryce Harper called Craig Kimbrel stupid for catching his home run ball barehanded. He also called the bullpen from the dugout to apologize for not acknowledging them when he was rounding the base paths. Again, the Phillies are playing loose and it’s hard to argue the results.
Luckily for Turner, JT Realmuto delivered smashed a two-run double next at-bat to score Turner and Harper, giving he Phillies a 4-3 advantage in what was ultimately an extra-innings win.
The Phillies took 3-of-4 from the San Diego Padres over the weekend to improve to 51-42 on the season. They are just a game out of second place in the NL East standings and 10.5 games behind the first place Atlanta Braves.
In the NL Wild Card, the Phillies are a half-game behind the Arizona Diamondbacks for the final spot in the postseason.
That was so funny when Bryce Harper was playing around with Trea Turner! I LOVED that! It shows they are having a good time!
