NFL Reporter thinks Jalen Hurts was ‘left speechless’ after conversation about Patrick Mahomes’ AirBnb before Super Bowl LVII

With Patrick Mahomes as one of the three quarterbacks starring in the new Netflix show “Quarterback”, it was inevitable that at some point during the series, we would eventually see footage of Jalen Hurts when the team’s finally met in Super Bowl LVII.
Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the Netflix show but will fully admit that I didn’t make it through the first couple episodes. Kirk Cousins creeps me out and Patrick Mahomes is a cornball.
I was planning on jumping episodes to the Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl ones, but at the end of the day, it wasn’t worth reliving that type of pain so I just shelved the entire series.
NFL reporter Ari Meirov did tweet out a clip of an interaction between Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes ahead of Super Bowl LVII that caught my attention.
Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes Air BnB ‘Conversation’
Ari Meirov’s view of the situation unfolding in the video is puzzling.
Patrick Mahomes casually telling Jalen Hurts that he booked an Airbnb in Arizona for his family three months prior to the Super Bowl is epic.
Talk about believing in yourself. Jalen didn’t even know how to respond.
Listen, I actually really like Ari Meirov. He’s a great follow for sports coverage. However, he is way off with the way he viewed this clip. There’s no chance in hell that “Jalen Hurts” didn’t know how to respond and really, I don’t see anything “epic” out the exchange either.
It’s not like I know the two, obviously, but in my opinion, it’s clear as day that Jalen Hurts simply didn’t give a shit about Patrick Mahomes and his Air BnB story.
I mean seriously, these are just basic social queues that are on full display in the video.
Patrick Mahomes is sitting there talking and Jalen Hurts is just politely listening to what he has to say before giving a clear indication that he wasn’t interested in the conversation around the six second part of the clip.
Hurts appears to respond “yeah” and then looks straight ahead, which is typically a standard “stop talking to me, I’m not interested” social queue that Mahomes completely missed.

The way I look at the clip, Hurts didn’t know how to respond because he had zero interest in the conversation and really, there’s nothing really to say in response.
Were they expecting him to say something like “Oh that’s nice” or “Cool…”?!
We’re talking about Jalen Hurts here, people.
This is a guy who routinely drops the most fire quotes anytime he speaks.
“We plan on finishing moving forward…I know I didn’t walk through that fire just to smell the smoke.”
“I remember sitting there 18-year-old kid saying, ‘my sophomore year starts tomorrow.’ Nothing changes now. Going into Year 4 hungrier than ever, starving for more.“
“Money is nice. Championships are better.”
Air Meirov even tweeted out the best one back in February!
Point being, I find it very hard to believe that Hurts has any interest in making small talk with Patrick Mahomes ahead of the Super Bowl. He most likely wanted to rip Mahomes’ head off and destroy the Kansas City Chiefs before kickoff arrived.
Forget about the family Air BnB. Jalen Hurts was simply not interested.
Here’s another clip from the show in the tunnel postgame. Hurts wasn’t interested pregame and he definitely wasn’t feeling it after.
