2023 MLB Postseason Schedule is here, and there’s a few key dates the Phillies should immediately circle on their calendars

Major League Baseball released the official dates of the 2023 postseason yesterday, which is definitely something you want to keep an eye on if you are a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.Â
2023 MLB Postseason Schedule
- Wild Card Round: October 3-5Â
- ALDS: October 7-13
- NLDS: October 7-14
- ALCS: October 15-23
- NLCS: October 16-24Â
- World Series: October 27 – November 4
The 2023 MLB Postseason will begin on October 3rd, with the start of the Wild Card round. That of course, is important for the Phillies in their Hunt for Red October.
National League East Standings

At 62-52 on the season, the Phillies are still 10.5 games behind the Braves in the NL East standings.
Listen, it’s August 9th.
Every time the Phillies win, the Atlanta Braves also win. Every time the Phillies lose, the Atlanta Braves also lose. Unfortunately, it is what it is, but at the same time there’s a path to Red October in the NL Wild race.
Phillies Hunt for Red October continues in the NL Wild Card
The Phillies still sit atop of the NL Wild Card standings, tied with the San Francisco Giants. The Giants swept the Phillies back in May so technically, they do hold the tie breaker for the number one seed if the season were to end today.Â

Note: San Francisco will head to Citizens Bank Park for a three game series on August 21st, which could hold major postseason implications when it’s all said and done.Â
The Phillies will almost certainly start their postseason run in the Wild Card round from October 3-5th. From there, once they beat whatever lousy team they have to face, they’ll move on to the NLDS October 7-14th.
I know I’m writing extra confident this morning but it’s a risk I’m willing to take because if and when the Phillies do advance to the NLDS, everyone here at The Liberty Line will be out in Los Angeles for the Eagles-Rams game on October 8th with our partners, Phans of Philly.
Last season, we were in Arizona with Phans of Philly and the crew there managed to pull off not one, but two epic Phillies’ watch parties ahead of the Eagles-Cardinals game on Sunday.
As I’m sure you know already, the Phillies swept the Cardinals in the Wild Card round, which led them on an improbable run to the World Series.
Phans of Philly rented a bar out in Scottsdale that was packed with Phillies fans for Game 1 before throwing a massive watch party at the resort the following night.

This year, The Liberty Line will be traveling with Phans of Philly on three different Eagles trips.
- September 25th: Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- October 8th: Philadelphia Eagles at Los Angeles Rams
- November 20th: Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs
Listen, if you’re anything like my group of friends, actually planning a vacation takes a lot of work and eventually turns into a complete mess with nothing scheduled until days before we’re supposed to leave.
All of that is avoided with Phans of Philly. They literally handle everything.
You can book any travel trip directly online with flexible payment plans. From there, they will reach out with your flight information and event tickets, while providing you a full itinerary of things to do when you arrive at your destination, along with transportation, tailgate information (and menus) as well as updates throughout your trip on things that are happening.Â
In Los Angeles, we’re talking Phillies postseason baseball AND Eagles football.
You simply do not want to miss it. Trust me.
