After JT Realmuto finally had a “get right” game in the finale against the Washington Nationals on Thursday night, the Best Catcher in Baseball continued his resurgence against the Twins. Realmuto went 2-for-4 from the plate with an RBI single and a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Bryson Stott & JT Realmuto Go Back-2-Back in the Bottom of the 6th Inning
If JT Realmuto returns to form and Trea Turner’s 2023 arrival continues over the final two months of the regular season, then every team in the National League should be terrified to play the Philadelphia Phillies.
I was at the game last night so I definitely missed any updates on Bryce Harper. My head is also pounding right now given the fact me and the fellas were crushing tall boy IPA’s in the Hall of Fame Club while the Phillies beat the Twins into oblivion.
This is about all I have in me for a recap today. Let’s just pivot over to the NL Wild Card standings.
Phillies Hunt for Red October
- Giants lose 3 straight.
- Miami 3-7 over last 10.
- D-Backs…(lol) lose 9 straight.
- Padres 4-6 over their last 10.
The Phillies are 7-3 over their last 10 and winners of 3 straight games. They now have a 2.5 game lead over the Giants in the NL Wild Card race.
Taijuan Walker (13-4, 3.98 ERA) will take the mound tonight against Pablo Lopez (7-6, 3.81 ERA).
