Colin Cowherd makes bold statement, says Geno Smith will never hold up the AFC Championship trophy over Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow

Cowherd was on Fox spewing his typical word vomit and made it very clear that Geno Smith doesn’t stand a chance in holding up the AFC Championship trophy over other quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow.

Honestly, I couldn’t agree more. Geno Smith will NEVER hoist the AFC Championship trophy over Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow.
Why? Well obviously, Smith plays on the Seattle Seahawks, a team that’s a part of the NFC.
Have to give Cowherd credit on this one. I know the bar is set very low, but the statement was accurate.
It’s certainly better than his take earlier this month when he stated that Dwayne Haskins wasn’t a good enough quarterback to win a Super Bowl.

Note: Haskins tragically died in 2022 after he was hit by a truck while crossing a highway. He was only 24 years old at the time of his death.
It’s honestly impressive how badly FS1 and Cowherd can screw things up and just keep on going like it’s completely normal.
Maybe that’s the point? Is Cowherd and company purposely messing up all of the time to drive engagement?
I really can’t see these mistakes happening so often while there’s an entire production crew working on a nationally televised show.
I mean seriously, how many people work on “The Herd” and how can an entire production crew and the host of the show, which again, is all about sports, continue to screw things up so badly?
Then again, if Cowherd is actually doing what the picture below suggests, then maybe there’s just too much stuff going on for him to properly prepare for his television show.

Back to Geno Smith, I think we’re all in agreement there will be no AFC Championship trophy in his future. Really, there won’t be an NFC Championship trophy either.
The NFC runs through Jalen Hurts and Philadelphia, obviously, and the Eagles will be making a trip to the Pacific Northwest this season to face Smith and the Seahawks on December 17th.
