Nick Castellanos is on FIRE, Phillies beat the Mets 5-4 to hold 3-game lead atop NL Wild Card

I regret to inform the rest of the MLB teams looking for NL Wild Card tickets that Nick Castellanos is RED HOT right now.

Castellanos went 2-for-3 from the plate last night with a home run and four RBI as the Phillies beat the New York Mets 5-4.  He now has a career-high in RBI at 103 on the season while batting .364 (12-for-33) with six home runs, 14 RBIs, and a 1.298 OPS over his past 9 games.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the first inning, Castellanos singled on a ground ball to center field, scoring Kyle Schwarber and Trea Turner to give the Phillies a 2-0 lead.

Ranger Suarez was on the mound and battled through 6.2 innings, allowing five hits, four earned runs, and two walks while striking out six Mets batters.

Alec Bohm broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the third inning with a solo home run, his 18th blast of the year. Not to be outdone, Castellanos then hit another go-ahead solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to put the Phillies up 5-4.
