On Friday, the New York Jets officially ruled out starting cornerback D.J. Reed for today’s matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles and yesterday, they ruled out All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner.
Both of the Jets’ cornerbacks are in the NFL’s concussion protocol which now leaves them without four total cornerbacks against the Eagles today. Brandin Echols and Justin Hardee will both miss the game as well with hamstring injuries.

You have to absolutely love that for the Eagles offense this week. Expect DeVonta Smith and AJ Brown to feast on an extremely banged up Jets’ secondary today at MetLife Stadium.
Over the first five weeks of the NFL season, AJ Brown has 35 catches for 541 yards and has scored two touchdowns. DeVonta Smith has 23 catches for 290 yards and two touchdowns so far this season.
Dallas Goedert, who had a breakout game against the Los Angeles Rams last weekend, has 205 yards on 21 catches with a touchdown over the first five weeks.
As for the guy that throws them the football, Jalen Hurts has thrown for 1,262 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions with a passer rating of 91.4 so far this season.
