AJ Brown makes NFL history after yet another dominant performance in Week 8 against the Washington Commanders
Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver AJ Brown continued his reign of terror on the NFL in today’s 38-31 victory over the Washington Commanders.
While the Eagles offense was turning over the football and the defense resembled burnt toast for the majority of today’s game, Brown continued to dominate any secondary that attempts to get in his way, hauling in eight receptions for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
Brown’s first touchdown catch of the day could very well be the best of the 2023-24 NFL season.
With just over 30 seconds remaining in the first half and the Eagles down 14-3 to the Commanders, Jalen Hurts threw a dime to the front corner of the end zone to Brown, who brought in the pass ONE HANDED to get the Eagles back in the game.
AJ Brown One-Handed Touchdown Reception
Brown wasn’t done yet. On 3rd and 7 with just over four minutes left in the third quarter and the Eagles down 17-10, he hauled in another touchdown to tie the game 17-17 .
AJ Brown Touchdown No. 2
AJ Brown became the first player in NFL history with 125+ receiving yards in six straight games. He now has 939 receiving yards through eight games this season, second to just Tyreek Hill. That puts the Eagles’ wide receiver on pace for a 2,000-yard season.
Jalen Hurts tied his career high with four passing touchdowns and went over 300 total yards for the fifth straight game. The Philadelphia Eagles are now 7-1 on the season and will host the Dallas Cowboys next weekend.
