MLB Winter Meetings are underway in Nashville, Tennessee and I have a few updates for…

Snakes are DEAD: Zac Gallen follows up miserable NLCS by going 0-2 in World Series, Alek Thomas dooms D-Backs after planting flag at Citizens Bank Park
The Texas Rangers are World Series champions for the first time in the franchise’s 63-season history after defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-0 last night to secure the title in Game 5.
The Diamondbacks trailed 1-0 last night going into the ninth inning before a full blown meltdown happened with closer Paul Sewald allowing three straight hits to begin the inning.
The third single was botched by center fielder Alek Thomas that allowed the Rangers to score two runs to increase their lead to 3-0.
Rangers’ Marcus Semien crushed a 2-run home run three batters later and just like that the Rangers were crowned the 2023 World Champions of baseball.
Alek Thomas Embarrassing Error
Well that’s a fucking shame, right?
Eh. Not really, actually. In my humble opinion, it was well deserved.
Alek Thomas is the bozo who thought it would be a smart idea to plant a D-Backs flag at Citizens Bank Park after Arizona beat the Phillies in the NLCS.
Alek Thomas Embarrassing Himself at Citizens Bank Park
The Arizona Diamondbacks resident tough guy Alek Thomas went .238/.238/.286 (5-for-21) in the World Series. Damn shame (not really).
As for Zac Gallen, who “trolled” Phillies’ fans on Twitter after posting a miserable 0-2 record with a 7.36 ERA in the NLCS, he followed up that by going 0-2 again in the World Series.
Zac Gallen went 0-4 in the NLCS and World Series
Note: Don’t even start with the “Zac Gallen pitched six no-hit innings last night” because no one gives a shit now. That’s about as important as Trea Turner batting .500 through the first 11 games of the postseason before completely shitting the bed when it mattered most.
Zac Gallen went 0-4 while coughing up 13 ER and 5 home runs in the NLCS and World Series, posting a miserable 5.24 ERA.
That’s horrible and really, just like Alek Thomas, it couldn’t have happened to a better person.
Karma.
Snakes aren’t alive anymore, are they? Didn’t think so.
Sure, maybe I’m just a little pissed off because the Phillies lost in embarrassing fashion to such a bad baseball team but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to follow up and point out how big of losers the D-Backs are as well.
Snakes are DEAD. RING IT.
