Nakobe Dean Injured Reserve

Nakobe Dean expected to make yet another trip to the Injured Reserve List with a Lisfranc Sprain

Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean has been diagnosed with a Lisfranc sprain and will now see a foot specialist to determine a course of action moving forward.

Dean is expected to miss extended time and take yet another trip to the Injured Reserve list.

Nakobe Dean headed back to IR with Lisfranc sprain

Recap: Two injuries. Two IR stints. Drafted out of Georgia with “injury concerns”.

Of course you never want to see any player get injured, but I wouldn’t go as far as saying this is a significant loss for the Eagles. Dean hasn’t lived up to expectations and wasn’t even a starter.

The Eagles brought in two veteran linebackers during training camp with Zach Cunningham and Nicholas Morrow which immediately raised eyebrow as an apparent “mistrust” in Nakobe Dean holding the position.

The Birds have always been bullish on the linebacker position. They don’t spend a lot of money there and really don’t even focus draft picks on the position either. Nakobe Dean was drafted in 2022 and Davion Taylor was selected in 2020.

Point being, Dean is hitting the IR again and Taylor signed with the Chicago Bears back in August. Neither selection has provided the Eagles with anything.
