Cam Brown Braden Mann Punt Block

WATCH: Giants’ Cam Brown revolutionized punt blocking by refusing to allow Eagles’ Braden Mann to fall over, avoiding penalty flags

Here’s something you certainly don’t see every Sunday. During the Eagles embarrassing loss to the Giants, linebacker Cam Brown just changed the ‘punt blocking’ game by refusing to allow Braden Mann to fall over, avoiding a penalty on the play in the process.

With the Eagles backed up in their own end zone, linebacker Cam Brown was all over Braden Mann, making contact with the punter on what should have easily been a roughing the kicker (or at least, running into the kicker).

Instead, Brown caught Mann and refused to let him sell the contact made, preventing him from falling over as they moved backwards into the end zone.

I mean shit, the Eagles can’t even pull off a flop properly. That’s how bad things have gotten in Philadelphia over the past six weeks.

Mann tried to sell that flop but no one was buying it. Brown holding him upright avoided penalty flags being thrown, and we all know how Sunday’s game turned out for the Eagles. Disaster.

Honestly, a pretty heads up play here from Cam Brown. There was zero shot he was going to let Braden Mann hit the ground and draw a penalty flag. The result was Brown basically hugging Mann and the funny visual above.

Honestly, it looked like me trying to carry my buddy through the bar without anyone noticing that he was too drunk to walk.

The entire video really resembled how the Philadelphia Eagles have played football over the final six weeks of the regular season. They have lost 5 out of their last 6 games and have been slowly but surely, crashing and burning into Wild Card Weekend, where they’ll face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football.
