WATCH: Fans breakout EAGLES Chant at Petco Park, Phillies crush 5 home runs in 9-3 victory over Padres

Phillies fans breakout EAGLES chant at Petco Park

Honestly, I wouldn’t say I’m a supporter of the Eagles Chant at baseball games or really any other sporting event outside of an actual football game but it’s definitely not a hill I’m willing to die on – even more so when the NFL Draft is currently happening.

If I was a fan of the San Diego Padres, I would welcome the Eagles Chant as well. Literally anything is better than what the group of fans did to their baseball team during the NLCS.

Recap: Phillies beat Padres 9-3

The Phillies made quick work of the Padres last night, crushing five home runs in the game while Aaron Nola dazzled on the mound en route to a 9-3 victory.

Kyle Schwarber hit a leadoff home run to get things rolling before Brandon Marsh roped a double to give the Phillies a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

In the top of the third, Bryce Harper crushed his sixth home run of the season, Brandon Marsh hit a 2-run home run, and Nick Castellanos belted his first of 2024 to give the Phillies a 6-0 lead. For good measure, JT Realmuto hit a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh to extend the Phillies lead to 9-1.
