Jeff Teague delivers the hottest take of the century, says the Sixers might not be good if their star players miss time
Stop the presses. Jeff Teague has done it again. The former NBA guard nearly lit the internet on fire this week by delivering one of the most courageous, earth-shattering takes in basketball history. The Sixers might not be good if Paul George doesn’t bounce back and Joel Embiid misses large chunks of the season.
My god. Somebody get this man on Inside the NBA immediately.
We’re talking about one of the greatest basketball minds of our time. Forget Red Auerbach, Pat Riley, or Gregg Popovich. Jeff Teague is officially the gold standard for hoops wisdom. Who else would’ve had the vision to say that if two All-Stars aren’t available, their team might struggle? Revolutionary stuff.
Here’s Jeff Teague confidently declaring this on his podcast:
“Play-in man. PG is cooked bro…It’s a great chance he going to be hurt this year. My point, play-in.”
Truly groundbreaking commentary. Honestly, I don’t know how Sixers fans will recover from such a devastating and original insight.
Of course, what Teague leaves out is the fact that the Celtics and Pacers are dealing with their own injuries, or that Embiid looks healthier and leaner than he has in years.
Fuck all that, right? Why bother with nuance when you can make a hot take sound like it belongs on a middle school debate team?
So thank you, Jeff Teague, for blessing us with your clairvoyance. If Embiid and George can’t play, the Sixers will struggle. Incredible. Somebody give him a statue.
