The Liberty Line is an independent Philadelphia-based sports and culture media brand. Basically, it’s a mix of Philly sports coverage, viral news, and local commentary with that ditches the corporate fluff and shoots it straight.

The idea was born out of late-night group chats, inappropriate jokes, and way too many arguments about Philly sports back in early 2020. Founder Drew Smith, who was running a print-on-demand company under the RushOrderTees umbrella in Northeast Philly, started kicking around merch ideas with local podcast hosts. Unhappy with the state of sports coverage in the city, an idea hit to take those group chats and put them in article form. 

TLL was created to give Philly fans a voice outside of the traditional media outlets, combining authentic, fan-driven sports content (Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, Flyers, Union) with pop-culture, humor, and opinion pieces blended in.
