WATCH: Anthony Edwards dapped up NBA Official Zach Zarba, sparks third quarter run for the Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Phoenix Suns last night 105-93 to take a 2-0 series lead in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs.

NBA official Zach Zarba and Anthony Edwards went viral during the third quarter of the game last night with the T-Wolves leading the Suns 64-63 midway through the third quarter.

The shot clock was winding down and Edwards swatted a last-second layup attempt from Suns guard Bradley Beal.

The broadcast then caught Zarba giving Edwards “props” following the play.

Trust me, as a Philadelphia 76ers, I understand the concern.

That L2M Report for Game 2 against the Knicks was disgusting. I’m not mad at Edwards was getting love from the official, I’m just jealous it wasn’t Tyrese Maxey in the final 30 seconds of the game on Monday night.

Edwards teammates were even surprised to watch Edwards dap-up Zarba and the crowd at the Target Center in Minneapolis went absolutely insane.

The clip immediately went viral on social media – as everyone collectively raised their eyebrows after witnessing the interaction but in reality the NBA official was simply extending his hand to motion Edwards to the correct inbound spot.

Up until that point in the game, The Ant Man was just 1-for-7 from the field with 9 points in the game. However, back-to-back defensive stops and an official dap-up clearly had an impact on the entire Timberwolves team.

They went on an 8-0 run and closed out the third quarter with a 78-71 lead before riding that momentum to the final buzzer and beating the Suns 105-93 to take a 2-0 series lead on the road to Phoenix on Friday night.

Edwards finished the game with 15 points, five rebounds, and eight assists. The T-Wolves had six total players in double figures, led by Jaden McDaniels with 25 points, eight rebounds, and three assists in the Game 2 win.
