Shocker: The NBA Last 2 Minute Report shows a bunch of blown calls by the officiating crew during Game 2 between the 76ers and Knicks
Welp, here’s the NBA Last 2 Minute Report and just like we all witnessed last night, the officials during Game 2 between the 76ers and the Knicks completely botched the final few minutes, handing New York a 2-0 series lead.

Really, there were two calls that directly impacted the game and swung all momentum to the New York Knicks. Both calls happened within the final 30 seconds of the game involving Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Tyrese Maxey.
NBA Last 2 Minute Report: Incorrect Non-Calls in 76ers, Knicks Game 2

Jalen Brunson fouled Tyrese Maxey
With 27 seconds remaining in the game, Jalen Brunson pulled Tyrese Maxey’s jersey away from his body, affecting Maxey’s ability to secure the basketball. That was an incorrect non-call and should have been ruled a foul on Jalen Brunson.

Josh Hart fouled Tyrese Maxey
With 24.9 seconds remaining, Josh Hart fouled Tyrese Maxey on the inbound pass that ultimately led to New York stealing the ball and connecting on what would soon to be the game winning shot from Donte DiVincenzo.

Tyrese Maxey “offensive foul on “push-off” on Josh Hart was “marginal” and shouldn’t have been called a foul
Tyrese Maxey’s “push-off” on Josh Hart was “marginal” and shouldn’t have been called a foul.

Nick Nurse should have been granted a timeout on inbound
On the inbound play, Nick Nurse requesting a timeout was neither recognized nor granted by the officials. That was incorrect and Nurse should have gotten the timeout.

Nick Nurse timeout request was neither acknowledged or granted because Maxey did not have possession
The NBA found that Nick Nurse should NOT have been granted a timeout while Tyrese Maxey was on the ground, as Philadelphia did not have possession – which I would argue because I’m not clear as to why this doesn’t count as having possession of the basketball.

This is so disgusting. I feel dirty even reading the official report. How can this possibly happen in a professional sports game? Unfortunately, anyone with half of a brain knew this was the case and the bigger concern was always what will the NBA do about it?
The answer to that is of course, absolutely nothing.
