Preview: Flyers @ Rangers

After eclipsing their win total from last year with still 18 games remaining, The Flyers look to sweep a weekend home and home series against the New York Rangers.
The stage shifts to Madison Square Garden where the Flyers look to extend their win streak to 6 games
The @NHLFlyers collected their second 10-win month of the season (also 10 in Nov.), marking just the third time in franchise history they’ve done that, per the NHL.The others: 2001-02 (Dec. and Jan.) and 1974-75 (Dec. and March).

With a showdown looming this coming Wednesday against the division-leading Capitals (84), the Flyers (81) could find themselves only one point back in the standings with a win Sunday afternoon.
After mopping the floor with the Rangers Friday night, they are sure to not let it happen again. Especially on home ice.
The Flyers are 5-5 in their last 10 games @ NYR
Key to the Game:
A big key to this game is 100% mental. You can not look past this game onto the big game against Washington next week. These 2 points are huge, especially when you need to put some distance between Pittsburgh and other wild card teams knocking on the door for one of the top 3 spots in the division.
Player to Watch:
This is an easy one for me. Kevin Hayes has been an absolute force this year and it’s no secret that he despises his former club. I think he scores his 4th goal against them this season and continues to flat out dominate the Rangers.
Me too Hayesy, Me too.
