Preview: Flyers at Capitals

The boys in orange and black are victorious in their last six games and they got all the Zamboners buzzin’. They are looking to extend their streak against the first place Capitals.
This will be no easy task, with Washington winning 3 of their last 4 games, they also were embarrassed the last time they played the Flyers, losing 7-2. Washington has home ice and revenge on their side. This will be a fantastic test to see if the Flyers can consistently beat good teams.
Key to the Game:
Scoring first. To keep it simple, the Flyers are 26-7-4 when scoring before their opponent. This shouldn’t be a problem, with guys like Konecny, Hayes, and Couturier all over the 20 goal mark and Giroux and JVR right behind with 19. This Flyers team seems to have a different attitude, and above all, scoring goals isn’t like pulling teeth anymore.
Player to Watch:
Mooooooooooose. Hear me out, our backup goalie is having a very solid season with a record of 15-7-4. Many might not agree with the start of the 34 year old goaltender, but I 100% agree with AV’s decision here. Elliot was stout in his last meeting with the Caps, with only giving up 2 goals on 27 shots on goal. With Hart’s struggles on the road, (4-10-1) the Flyers will lean on Sir Brian Elliot to hopefully get the job done again.
Prediction: 4-3 Flyers
