Game Preview: Celtics vs Sixers

Welcome to the start of the regular season. The Sixers open the season at home tonight against the Boston Celtics.
The Sixers are poised to make a championship run and this game will undoubtedly feel more like a playoff game in May 2020 rather than an October matchup.
Big man Al Horford spent the last three seasons with the Celtics and was one of the few defenders that gave Embiid fits. Horford signed a four-year deal to come to Philly and quickly became a popular teammate. Expecting big things from Horford this year.
Josh Richardson has also joined the Sixers replacing Jimmy Butler. Look for him to be a healthy, consistent contributor throughout the season.
Ben Simmons is going to come out shooting. After all the videos of Ben over the summer – there’s no doubt in my mind he will come out shooting the basketball from all over the court. It’s going to be amazing!
Ben Simmons said he “fell in love with the game again” this summer and is “comfortable” shooting jumpers!

Joel Embiid lays out his goals for himself and the Sixers this year. We are 100% confident he will reach them. Our friends over at The Phifth Quarter, in partnership of DSGN Tree, have released the following shirt – which undoubtedly needs to be purchased and worn in May for the playoffs when Joel checks all the boxes:
Predictions:
This is a championship team backed by a championship coach. I’m expecting the box score to look something like this:
We’ve been covering the Sixers for years. There’s no way this team disappoints us. We’re pumped to get the season started. I wouldn’t expect any mishaps from Brett Brown this season either. I think this team is built PERFECTLY to win a championship.

The game will be televised tonight at 7pm on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
