Eagles Need To Pry Away #13 From The 49ers

The 49ers are reportedly listening to offers regarding both of their first-round picks. San Francisco currently holds the 13th overall pick as well as the 31st pick, with no picks afterward until the 5th round.
49ers fielding calls on both their first-round picks, No. 13 and No. 31 overall, and are open to dealing either or both picks, per league sources. After 31, 49ers not scheduled to pick again until No. 156 in fifth round. No second-, third- and fourth-round picks. Want more picks.

About a month ago, I noted that the Eagles should be on the phone with the 49ers to see what they can do to come away with the #13 pick. With the Eagles having multiple mid-round picks at their disposal, it would be beneficial for both sides to come to an agreement. It’s been rumored that the 49ers could be making WR Dante Pettis or RB Matt Breida available for mid-round picks.
A draft-day trade involving either of the two offensive players along with Rasul Douglas could net the Eagles the necessary pick to select their prized target in CeeDee Lamb. The Eagles have been actively shopping Douglas and with Richard Sherman being the only notable corner on the roster, the 49ers are in need of a young, promising defensive back. It’ll surely be a situation to monitor heading into the draft this Thursday.
