The NBA is Allowing Teams, Sixers to Bring Up to 17 Players to Disney

Per Shams Charania:

Slight update here to the ongoing rule adjustments for the NBA resuming in Disney World. It was first reported that teams would be allowed to bring 15 players with them, but only players that had been on an NBA roster or on a G-League deal.

Now, teams can bring up to 17 players and players who have signed an NBA/G League deal this year or a previous year are expected to be available to sign in restarted season — making Jamal Crawford or JR Smith eligible, as our good pal Shams mentioned in his tweet.

Marial Shayok on a two way is an easy addition. Zhaire Smith as well.

The 17th could be the likes of Trey Burke, Haywood Highsmith, Jonah Bolden, whoever. I would be shocked if any of them had any impact. Then again, Larry Brown brought Raja Bell into the fold basically from a YMCA youth league and he turned out to play a big role in the last NBA Finals appearance the Sixers had so who knows?

Unless there is an injury or sickness, which the Sixers always seem to be battling, i doubt any late additions will see the court. Another concern floating around the past few days has to deal with players not even wanting to attend.

From Woj:

Not too worried with that after Embiid’s recent comments and the always classic Ben Simmons “getting ready” photoshoots.

Not much longer to go until the NBA is back. And yes, I absolutely despise the “Cancel Sports” crowd. We’ll just leave it at that for now.

unfiltered, opinionated, and certainly do not care if you like it or not.
