BREAKING: Flyers Re-sign Oskar Lindblom to a 3-year extension

The good news just keeps on rolling.
On July 2nd, the Flyers posted a video of Lindblom ringing the bell at Penn Medicine signifying that he won his battle with Ewingโs Sarcoma, the rare form of cancer he was diagnosed with back in December.
Fight. Inspire. Overcome. Celebrate.

To top all of that off, the Flyers announced this morning that they had re-signed Lindblom to a 3yr/9mil contract with an AAV of 3 million. Lindblom will become a RFA once those three years are up.

Overall the news we have been receiving on Oskar lately is so heartwarming to see. After the diagnosis, he was always in great spirits around the team and players/coaches always talked about how he had a smile on his face.
We’ve already seen videos on him on-ice practicing but today we also received some more news on Lindblom traveling to the bubble and potentially playing?

Could he play in playoffs?
โAbsolutely. I donโt know whatโs out of the question. I wouldnโt certainly put any limits on Oskar. Weโll obviously do everything that we can to protect himโ pic.twitter.com/JZrL1wkVIV

All in all, I couldn’t be happier for Oskar Lindblom. A warrior with a smile on his face, and the Flyers re-signing him was a first-class move by a first-class organization. We can’t wait to see him back out there.
