Phillies vs Yankees Cancelled Tuesday Night

The 2nd game of the Yankees vs Phillies game has been postponed after a wild weekend in Philadelphia with the COVID-19 infected Marlins.
MLB source confirms that tonight’s Yankees-Phillies game has been postponed. Some Phillies players are still waiting for test results.

Although there is no official word on the test results from the Phillies team / organization as of Tuesday morning, cancelling tonight’s game should have been expected. There was no way you can send players out on the field without being certain that they have tested negative. Not to mention, the shelf life for this wacky virus seems to be somewhere in the ballpark of 3-4 days.
I would have to assume that this is just an extra step in precaution. My guy Karl agrees.
Yankees were told the decision to postpone tonight’s game was based on abundance of caution. There was no indication given that any Phillies players had tested positive.

What a mess from the MLB though right? Just 2020 as a whole. The fact that no one knows anything for certain and there are multiple reports telling you different things about any given topic make it a rough road for figuring out what the hell is actually happening.
We’ll play the waiting game on Phillies testing results. Early results produced no positive test results which is great.
Like I said yesterday, IF they remain negative, there might be a glimmer of hope that baseball can resume. That would mean that the virus did not spread on the field or during the game, just in the clubhouse.
Updates are still rolling out. We’ll keep you posted.
No Philadelphia Phillies players or coaches tested positive in the most recent batch of coronavirus tests, sources tell me and @JeffPassan.
