Eagles Place Alshon Jeffery on Active/PUP List

The Eagles have announced that they have placed wide receiver, Alshon Jeffery, on the Active/PUP list. This move means that Jeffery won’t practice with the team as expected but does leave the door open for a return. Jeffery can come off the active/PUP list at any time before the regular season. If Jeffery is still on the list at the beginning of the season, he will have to sit out at least the first six weeks.
Jeffery was diagnosed with a Lisfranc foot injury in late November. The normal recovery time for this injury is about 9 months. He looks to be ahead of schedule in terms of recovery and would help the team after just losing Marquise Goodwin as he opted out due to COVID-19. Yesterday, Doug Pederson told the media that Jeffery is doing well.
“He’s doing extremely well. He’s in a really good spot. He’s going to continue to work and get himself ready. I’m excited with where he’s at”
I find it very hard to believe that Jeffery will be ready at the start of the season, but if he is the Eagles will need him.
