Phillies lose 6-3 to the Yankees

The Phillies returned to play tonight after an absolute mess unfolded over the past week with COVID-19 scares and postponed games.
Jake Arrieta was on the mound in the Bronx against Yankees’ ace Gerritt Cole. The game pretty much went how you would expect it. Arrieta was mediocre, 5 innings, 7 hits, 3 ER. The Bullpen was awful. Deolis Guerra came in and let up 3 ER in just .2 innings of work. The Phillies lose 6-3.
The MLB stinks, the bullpen stinks, and the Phillies are as frustrating as ever.
Jay Bruce in the DH spot put the Phillies on the board with a solo HR in the 3rd.

Adam Haseley singled to left center in the 7th, scoring Jean Segura. Then in the 8th, Segura singled to center, scoring JT Realmuto who went 2-4 from the plate.
The rest of the lineup failed to show up tonight:
- Andrew McCutchen 1-5.
- Rhys Hoskins 0-4.
- Bryce Harper 1-4.
- Scott Kingery 0-4.
If the Phillies want to win baseball games, they’re going to have to score runs. We’ll have to wait until Wednesday to see if that will happen. Tomorrow, the Phillies vs Yankees game has been suspended.

LHP J.A. Happ (0-0) had been scheduled to start for the Yankees on Tuesday and RHP Aaron Nola (0-1) for the Phillies.
