Breaking: Alec Bohm is joining the Phillies

Just when you wanted to ditch the Phillies after two lousy games against the Orioles, news broke this morning that Phillies top prospect Alec Bohm is getting the call-up to join the club.

No official word from the Phillies, but all the big name reporters seem to believe that it is, in fact, confirmed. This is great news for the Phillies, who are in desperate need of some consistent batting help around Bryce Harper and JT Realmuto.

My initial thought is that Jean Segura will move to 2nd Base in place of a struggling Scott Kingery. That will allow Bohm to slide into his natural position at 3rd base. I could also see Segura and/or Bohm moving to 1st base for a struggling Rhys Hoskins.

Putting Bohm at DH is also an option.
