Phelps is 2-3 with a 2.77 ERA this season in 12 appearances. This year, he’s pitched 13 innings and has 12 strikeouts. The Phillies will trade multiple low-level pitchers to Milwaukee, all players to be named later. Phelps is a Girardi favorite. He has a $4.5 MM club option for 2021.
The Phillies bullpen needs help:
- ERA – 6.80 | LAST
- WHIP – 1.87 | LAST
- OPP. BA – .333 | LAST
- OPP. OPS – .962 | LAST
- K RATE – 22% | LAST
- HR RATE – 4% | LAST
- BASERUNNERS / 9IP – 17.8 | LAST
Happy to see Klentak was able to get a much needed arm.
The Phillies will send top prospect Spencer Howard to the mound tonight against the Nationals. They are currently a game below .500 and own the 7th seed if they playoffs were to begin today.
Ring that bell, baby
