Phillies getting David Phelps from Brewers

The Philadelphia Phillies are closing in on a deal with the Milwaukee Brewers to add RHP David Phelps to their bullpen.

Phelps is 2-3 with a 2.77 ERA this season in 12 appearances. This year, he’s pitched 13 innings and has 12 strikeouts. The Phillies will trade multiple low-level pitchers to Milwaukee, all players to be named later. Phelps is a Girardi favorite. He has a $4.5 MM club option for 2021.

The Phillies bullpen needs help:

  • ERA – 6.80 | LAST
  • WHIP – 1.87 | LAST
  • OPP. BA – .333 | LAST
  • OPP. OPS – .962 | LAST
  • K RATE – 22% | LAST
  • HR RATE – 4% | LAST
  • BASERUNNERS / 9IP – 17.8 | LAST

Happy to see Klentak was able to get a much needed arm.

The Phillies will send top prospect Spencer Howard to the mound tonight against the Nationals. They are currently a game below .500 and own the 7th seed if they playoffs were to begin today.

Ring that bell, baby

unfiltered, opinionated, and certainly do not care if you like it or not.
